Revenge of the Killer Octopus - Promo and Concept Art

This is some of the work I did on Revenge of the Killer Octopus, which is available on Steam! Revenge of the Killer Octopus is a third-octopus game where you shoot and possess your way through throes of enraged scientists in order to take your revenge!
During this game's development I worked as a game artist. I created 2D concept art assets and splash art for promotional use. Many changes were made towards the end of production, so some of the promotional art could not be changed in time to reflect what is actually in the game.

Concept Art for the playable character. Given the octopus was experimented on, I wanted to give it some weird effect.

Very early concept art. We were told to just draw the octopus in your style. With the title in mind, I wanted it to have an experienced "special agent" sort of vibe.

The glowing glasses was suppose to be an indicator of enemy's health. It would start off blue/green, then go yellow, then red, then they die.

More early concept art for the grunt enemy. We wanted a combination of an underwater gear and scientist attire.

With this concept art, we finally got more comfortable with how we wanted to grunt to look. I made slightly different versions while trying to maintain the underwater/scientist vibe.

Very early concept art for when we were trying to figure out the game's identity. I tried making some silly ideas for enemy explosives. I also wanted to toy around with the idea of a squid rival, but the idea was out of scope.
